Passions and Fears

Passions and Fears (PnF) is a new solo rpg system designed to create intense, dramatic sessions and iconic moments. As you play, you wager "emotions"- essentially tags that represent bits of your character's emotional state. These emotions are always in flux, flipping back and forth between being a positive attribute (a passion) or a negative one (a fear) as the game goes on.

PnF is very lightweight with just one page of rules, and it's setting-agnostic. It embodies the idea of "writing with dice": the player writes a story and rolls the dice at crucial moments to see where it goes. Each and every dice roll is a tense moment where your character's fate is on the line.

This game has been a passion project of mine for 5 months now. It has evolved to be what it is through constant experimentation and streamlining. Aside from the basic idea of emotions changing after saves, none of the mechanics in this game were my first attempt. If you enjoy it I encourage you to tinker with it as well, there is always room for improvement. PnF will always be freely available, I want to share it with as many people as possible. This is also my first game release, so apologies for any unpolished-ness, feel free to ask me questions!
